LoúSan's Old Fashioned Tea Cakes

LoúSan's Old Fashioned Tea Cakes are made from a 100 year old family heirloom recipe passed down from generations to Scelestine Conway Langston (who on March 8, 2006 will celebrate her 98th birthday!).  Born in New Iberia, Louisiana, Scelestine kindly passed on the family recipe to Louis Conway Langston (the seventh of eleven children) and his wife Sandra Mae Langston, both of Castro Valley California.

After years of being served exclusively to guests of their luxury Bed & Breakfast, Louis and Sandra now take great pride in making the tea cakes available for sale at gourmet tea, coffee and up-scale pastry shops for anyone longing to experience the essence, taste and texture of a classic tea-cake.

Give this gift of pride and history to special friends, co-workers or loved ones.

Authentic Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes are nearly a forgotten African American treasure.  Taste 'N' See.  A portion of all proceeds will go to support the Negro College fund in America.

Kenneth R. Tramiel, Sr.
Director, Public Relations and Marketing
LoúSan Bed and Breakfast, LLC
Dba: LoúSan Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes, LLC

Kenneth Tramiel was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He grew up in a community rich with culture and history – a community that always knew that every child was teachable, talented and a future leader. A community that insisted the young respected the wisdom, knowledge, skills and history of their elders; and a community that understood the importance of him giving back to the culture in which he would live.

It is with this ingrained sense of community that he joins the visionary team of Louis C. Langston and Sandra Langston, Proprietors, Innkeepers of LoúSan Bed and Breakfast, LLC in Castro Valley, California. As the Director of Public Relations and Marketing, Kenneth is proud to represent this historic and cultural piece of a nearly forgotten African American treasure, old-fashioned teacakes. This historic treasure will be shared with the community and indeed through out the world.

All praises and blessings go to Mrs. Scelestine Conway Langston, born in 1908, New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed down to another generation, the family heirloom recipe to her son Louis Conway Langston and his wife Sandra Langston.

Scelestine Conway Langston’s Legacy will live on!
